Recently, he was asked about his opinion on playing in the IPL, if given a chance and the pacer replied that for him foremost is representing his nation in the game he loves. He also said that playing for Pakistan in all three formats and the PSL was enough for him.

Playing for your country is the proudest moment for any cricketer, so my priority is always my Pakistan. Playing all three formats for your country and then PSL is enough for me right now,” the left-arm pacer was quoted as saying by ProPakistani.com.

He further added that to give his best for the country, he must maintain his fitness. Shaheen Shah Afridi said that IPL, or any other league, holds less importance compared to international cricket. His prime focus is his performance for the national team and the rest of the work can wait.
