After the likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, etc., another cricketer has decided to invest in a property in Mumbai. That happens to be one of the emerging batting talents in the country Prithvi Shaw. While the youngster has not been a part of the Indian squad for quite some time, he does feature in domestic tournaments and the IPL.
Meanwhile, the 2018 ICC U19 World Cup-winning skipper is ensuring that he is making some smart investments with the money that he is earning at such a young age. It has been reported that Shaw has bought an apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra, which is also known as the ‘Queen of Suburbs’ and houses many renowned celebrities of the countries.

According to reports in the Economic Times, the 22-year-old has purchased a premium residential apartment in Bandra reclamation for a staggering price of INR 10.5 crore. The property is developed by Pyramid Developers and Ultra Lifespace.
“The apartment with carpet area of 2,209 sq. ft. and terrace measuring 1,654 sq ft is on 8th floor of residential tower 81 Aureate. As part of the deal, Shaw will also get exclusive access to three car parking slots.” The report further adds that the buyer had already paid a stamp duty of INR 52.50 lakh for the transaction. While it was executed on March 31, it was registered on April 28.
Shaw was one of the Delhi Capitals’ mandatory retentions for the ongoing IPL 2022. He has been offered a sum of INR 7.5 crore for this season. Nonetheless, the youngster has blown hot and cold so far, managing just 259 runs from nine matches at an average of 28.78 and a strike rate of 159.88, including two half-centuries with his highest score being 61.
The budding cricketer would now be looking forward to making the most of his opportunities in the remaining fixtures. DC would be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on May 5.
