In a funny incident, Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Prasidh Krishna’s bizarre throw grabbed a lot of limelight on social media. To note, Krishna’s throw hit the boot of Kiwi pacer Trent Boult. As a result, the New Zealand pacer lost his balance and eventually fell to the ground.

Talking more about the hilarious incident, it was the third over of the KKR innings as opener Baba Indrajith dabbed the Kiwi pacer’s delivery towards mid-on and ran instantly to grab a single. The Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna collected the ball quickly and aimed a direct hit at the wicketkeeper’s end. However, the ball hit Boult who reacted well to jump as the ball hit his shoes.

Yuzvendra Chahal got the best view of the bizarre incident

RR leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who was fielding nearby, got the best view of the incident as the Kiwi pacer was smiling after falling to the ground. It was a hilarious incident and everyone were left in splits during the game.

Earlier in the match, the Royals, on the back of skipper Sanju Samson’s (54) and West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten 27-run cameo managed to score a respectable total of 152 for 5 after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and invited the Royals side to bat first at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

RR lost opener Devdutt Padikkal for just two runs as express pacer Umesh Yadav (1/24) grabbed a return catch in the third over. It may be noted that in-form batter Jos Buttler could not get going as well. For KKR, Tim Southee, Umesh, Anukul Roy, and Shivam Mavi got the wickets.

In reply, KKR had a poor start as opener Aaron Finch got out cheaply. However, skipper Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana batted wonderfully and ensured that KKR broke their losing streak and move up in the points table. For RR, pacer Boult, Krishna, and Kuldeep Sen were the successful bowlers. However, they could not ensure a victory for their franchise as RR lost their second match in a row.
