This is the latest report from New Delhi for National Medical Commission (NMC) which will conduct NMC NExT 2023 for medical students who want to take admission in PG course or want to practice medicine in India.
We have received important information from the main portal of NMC that the National Exit Test NExT will be conducted in two phases.
It has been in the news that NExT is going to replace the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG) examination.
Well, we cannot confirm whether this story is true or not. But we know the fact that the Government of India is looking for effective measures all over India for the candidates.
NMC NExT 2023 PG Admission
Earlier, National Eligibility Entrance Test for Post Graduation (NEET PG) was conducted for the students who want to pursue their academic career in the medical field. They had to fill the form to opt for the desired PG course.

NMC shares relevant information for NExT 2023 exam on its official portal. They say that medical students of 2019-2020 batch will have to give paper. The admissions will be conducted on the basis of merit and only those students will be shortlisted who will manage to score marks as per the cut off list.
NMC NExT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
All those students who have completed MBBS 3rd year final year course from a Medical College recognized by the Commission will be eligible to appear.

For NMC Next Phase 1
Phase 1 will be conducted once in every year for medical students.

Phase 1 will have 6 papers:
- medicine and allied subjects
- Otorhinolaryngology
- Gynaecology
- surgery and allied subjects
- midwifery
- pediatrics
- Ophthalmology
- I MBBS / II MBBS / III MBBS / Final MBBS Part L Subject / Subject
NMC Next Phase 2
Phase 2 will have 7 subjects:
- medicine and allied subjects
- Ophthalmology
- physical therapy and rehabilitation
- pediatrics
- surgery and allied subjects
- midwifery
- Otorhinolaryngology
- Gynaecology
- bone disease
The exam will be held once in a year. There is no restriction on the number of attempts to appear for the Phase 2 exam. Please note that there is no attempt limit for NExT Phase 1. However, the student must have completed the NExT stage 1 and 2 exam within 10 years from the date of joining his MBBS.

The score of Phase 1 exam will be calculated on the put of 100. This will be a raw score and will be added after the result of Phase 2 exam. After that students will get the result in the form of pass or fail.
NMC NExT 2023 score will decide whether a student is eligible to study a particular PG course or not.

NMC NExT 2023 Preparation Tips
Students have to follow the same procedure as in NEET PG exam. They have to study separately for theory and practical exams.
- A proper study schedule will be helpful for the students
- They must prepare short notes for study
- Watching videos will help them to learn the syllabus faster
- Mock tests can be given to score well
- Previous year references and sample papers will be helpful
NMC NEXT 2023 Guidelines
- All students who have completed their MBBS or are in final year of MBBS can appear for NEXT exam
- This exam will be conducted once in every year
- There is no fixed attempt but students have to clear it till they complete their medical studies or MBBS
- NExT Phase 1 will be a theory test
- Phase 1 will be conducted in CBT mode
- Phase 1 will have 6 subjects (mostly MBBS courses)
- Phase 1 will consist of multiple choice questions
- Phase 2 will be a practical and oral test
