The story is set in the 1970s when the relations between Pakistan and India were not good. Pakistan was often planning to attack our country. Meanwhile, our army decided to send spies to Pakistan to know the intelligence and plan.
The picture begins at a time when Pakistan has lost three consecutive wars and is now planning a nuclear war against India. Siddharth Malhotra (spy) is sent to Pakistan to save it from nuclear war. There he married Rashmika Mandanna. This was the basic story which can be understood from the teaser.
Sidharth Malhotra is playing the role of spy RAW agent (Amandeep Ajitpal Singh), and his real name is Mr. Ravindra Kaushik, Amandeep Ajitpal Singh joins RAW at 23 in training; He was asked to learn Urdu and Quran and then sent to Pakistan. Amandeep knew that his biography would no longer be mentioned in his documents and he would no longer be called a citizen of India. He reached Pakistan as per the orders of his superiors. He studied LLB at the University of Karachi and worked as a tailor for the Pakistan Army.
He decides to marry a girl named ‘Nasreen’ (Rashmika), whose father is a high-ranking officer. After marriage she gave birth to a little princess. Meanwhile, the journey of getting married to Nasreen and having a daughter, romantic scenes and songs are played in the film. After settling in Pakistan, he started forwarding important information to India. But his past didn’t leave him until he transferred sensitive information to India. His father was also a spy who passed information to senior officials. He committed suicide and was called a “traitor”. To get out of the dark past, Amandeep takes many risks to save India from nuclear attack.
The period was 1979 -1983 which helped the Indian Army to counter the plans that Pakistan was making. Amandeep received the title “The Black Tiger of India” from the Prime Minister of India. But in Pakistan he was living under the name of Tariq. In 1985, the Pakistan Army traced him and announced his execution. But later it was decided not to hang him but life imprisonment was declared. He has sent several letters to his family living in India and mentioned that Pakistan Army is treating him in the jail. The name of the film is Mission Majnu only because she is Manju towards her country and not towards the girls. He died of a heart attack in the year 2001.
