Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 Registration
The plan is to create awareness about the prevalent feticide cases in the country. The objective of the scheme is to modify the negative mindset of the citizens in ending female foeticide. One of the health reports says that this has affected the overall sex ratio of the country. Thus, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh launched the scheme for the girl child in the state to get the benefits.
It was launched on 2Ra May 2007 by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh State. The objective of starting this scheme in the state is to create awareness among the people that killing a girl child ruins the growth and development of all. Moreover, they should be taught immediately so that they can become a well-known identity. If a girl gets proper education then she can teach other people about it which will ultimately increase the success rate in the country.

The girls who have completed their 12th standard and are moving forward to choose different colleges will get the benefits of this scheme. The amount is 25,000 for the girls to take admission in the college or university they aspire to. There are more benefits of this scheme as provided in the upcoming section.
This time, an amount of Rs. Assistance of one crore 85 lakh is provided to 1477 daughters. This step has been taken by Ravindra Bhavan Bhopal. The booklet for Ladli Lakshmi has been prepared by the Women and Child Development Authority.

To take advantage of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0, the girl child has to fulfill the criteria given by the government
- Registration by a girl child whose parents are not paying tax
- This scheme is only for those people who are below poverty line
- As long as the girl is not married before the age of 18, Rs 1 lakh will be provided to the family of the applicant for the marriage.
- All girls in the family including twins or second child as a girl will get the benefit of the scheme
- If a parent has a second daughter and they are ready for family planning, then the parent who accepts it will get the benefits of the scheme.
- A girl should not leave her school midway otherwise she will not get the benefit of it
- An orphan girl child who will be adopted by a family can access immense benefits of the scheme. However, the parents have to submit the adoption certificate and other necessary documents to the concerned authorities.

Important things to know about the scheme
- After CM Shivraj became a Lok Sabha member from Vidisha in 1991, he funded the marriage of girls. The amount he gave was from the MLA’s account which he could afford
- In 2005, while being the Chief Minister of the state, he started the “Lakhpati” scheme. Under this, some amount will be deposited in the name of the child, which is around 1000 rupees. 1.43 lakhs. This amount will be given to the family when the girl turns 21. The only thing to be noted here is that this scheme will be valid only till the girl gets married after she turns 18.
- So far more than 43 lakh daughters have got the benefit of this scheme.
