The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) couldn’t have had a more dreadful start to this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) having been defeated thrice in a row in as many matches. They lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets, Lucknow Super Giants by 6 wickets, and most recently to the Punjab Kings by 54 runs. They now stand at the 8th position on the points table.
The CSK players were having a recovery session by playing basketball ahead of their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday (April 09). The newly-appointed skipper Ravindra Jadeja put out a video in which he has nailed the no-look shot to perfection
The all-rounder took to Twitter and shared a video of himself playing the sport.
The Chennai team would be keen to register their first win against SRH who are looking for their first victory as well.
“I have been preparing (for the role) since he (Dhoni) told me a few months ago,” Jadeja had told reporters after his team suffered a loss to PBKS.
“Mentally I was ready to lead. I don’t have any pressure on me. I’m just backing my instinct and whatever thought comes in my mind, I always go with that,” he added.
He also said that his team was one win away from gaining momentum.
“In T20 cricket it’s just a matter of one win and that can get the momentum in our favor,” he further stated.
