Important instructions from ICG
Candidates have to follow the important rules framed by the Indian Coast Guard authorities. Some of these we have shared here.
- Body tattoos (permanent ones) are strictly not allowed. You can get the tattoo done on the opposite side of your palm or on the back side of the hand i.e. from elbow to wrist.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to clear the physical test. Those who will not qualify the test will not be allowed to proceed further for the selection process.
- Candidates who will be declared medically unfit are not allowed to apply again for ICG exam.

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process 2022
There are total 4 stages in the selection. These are discussed below:
first stage In this stage a written test is conducted to judge the candidates on the basis of their skills and knowledge
Phase 2 Physical fitness and medical examination is done for the candidates who score more than the cut off marks
stage 3 This is the document verification process in which the candidates have to bring the original certificates to the offline center as intimidated by the ICG officials
stage 4 Police verification is done for the candidates to validate their candidature
After all these steps, a call letter is sent to the selected candidates in which the details of joining are mentioned. They have to attend the ICG as per the instructions given to them.
