Grade card is an important document from the point of view of the candidate because whether he/she is eligible for further level of the course or not will depend on the grade card of the current year (assuming the candidate is not in the final year subject).
What are the details required to check on IGNOU Grade Card?
Firstly, the grade card of the candidate has to be checked to see whether they have qualified at the aggregate level or not. After that, they need to check the marks allotted by the teachers in the respective subjects which include assignment marks, theory marks and practical marks of the exam.
For example, if there is no practical subject in the concerned course the candidate is pursuing; Then they will be allotted marks on the basis of theory exam and assignment marks. To know the percentage of the respective term the candidate needs to calculate the total marks.
How to calculate percentage of IGNOU grade card?
Here it is assumed that the candidate is pursuing B.Com from IGNOU, and in B.Com the written test is of 70 marks and 30 marks are allotted to the candidates on the basis of assignments. Therefore, the candidate should calculate the percentage as shown in the table-
