The budget of Delhi Capitals during the auction was Rs 19.45 crore. During the auction round, the team made the costliest buys: M Kumar, R Rossouw, M Pandey, P Salt and I Sharma. The costliest buy for Delhi Capitals was INR 15 Crore. Delhi spent the money to add uncapped fast bowler Mukesh Kumar to strengthen their bowling. They acted wisely by adding Phil Salt and local boy Ishant Sharma at their base prices.
Delhi Capitals tried their best to get Cameron Green and Nicholas Pooran, but were left out. They added more power to their batting by adding Riley Rossouw and Manish Pandey. The team consists of nine batsmen, two wicketkeepers, three all-rounders and eleven bowlers.

The captain of Delhi Capitals is Rishabh Pant. The home ground of the team is in Delhi, which is known as the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This team was established in 2008 and was known as Delhi Daredevils. Later it changed its name and came to be known as Delhi Capitals. The group’s owners are the JSW Group and the GMR Group, the team chairman is Parth Jindal, and the team manager is Siddharth Bhasin.
The head coach of the team is Ricky Pointing. Delhi Capitals’ batting, bowling and fielding coaches are Pravin Arme, James Hopes and Biju George. Out of a total of 177 games, it has won just 76 games and is the team with the lowest winning percentage in the IPL.

The captain of Delhi Capitals is Rishabh Pant. His original name is Rishabh Rajendra Pant. He was born on 4 October 1997. Rishabh Pant is an international cricketer who plays for Team India. He plays the role of wicketkeeper and batsman and is a left-handed batsman. Rishabh Pant is known for scoring consistent runs in Test cricket for Team India.He made his debut for Team India in T20Is for India against England on 1 February 2017; Then, he made his Test debut for Team India on 18 August 2018 against England, and he made his ODI debut for Team India on 21 October 2018 against West Indies. The ICC Awards 2018 was held on January 2019, and he was declared the Emerging Player of the Cricketer. Also, on February 2021, Rishabh Pant was declared the ICC Men’s Player of the Month. In the absence of KL Rahul due to injury, he was asked to take over as captain in the T20I series against South Africa.
