The answer key for CLAT exam will be released within 24 hours of the commencement of the exam. Candidates are allowed to download the answer key by login their details from the official website. The provisional answer key will be declared on its official website on 19th December 2022. After releasing the provisional answer key, NLU will announce the final answer key with all corrections on 24th December 2022.
Candidates are advised to download answer key before CLAT result so that they can check their performance and estimate their score in mains exam. If candidates find any mistakes in the answer key, they can raise objections with proofs and report to get them corrected.

Total marks of the candidate = Total of correct answers – Total of incorrect answers
The question paper of CLAT exam is prepared from 150 questions. Firstly, it will depend on the candidate that how many questions he/she has attempted in the exam. The total number of questions attempted will depend on how many correct answers they have marked in the OMR sheet and how many wrong answers they have marked in the OMR sheet.
Hence, CLAT Consortium will award one mark for each correct answer and deduct 0.5 marks for each wrong answer.

CLAT Consortium will prepare the merit list for 2023 based on the number of marks obtained and also, the preference will be given at the time of online admission.
